Hurricane Roof Prep

With hurricane Idalia looking to make some impact in our area, it’s important to be sure you are as prepared as possible for severe weather.

Do a walk around your home and look for any potential danger such as overhanging limbs or dead tree branches.

Secure any yard furniture or decor to keep it from turning into possible projectiles.

Have bad weather supplies on hand such as:

–       Tarp

–       Flashlights

–       Weather radio

–       Bottled water

–       Batteries

–       First aid kit

–       Non-perishable food

Once the storm has passed, contact Phoenix Roofing to schedule your free roof inspection. Strong winds could cause even minor damage to your roof that will greatly affect how well your roof performs. Catching these issues early will prevent possible water damage or structural problems.

Continue to monitor the track of the storm and keep your family safe. The team at Phoenix Roofing will be here to help – just give us a call! 803.727.9382

Benefits of Local Roofer

August 15, 2023 by MikeDominick

When storms hit, you’ll often receive solicitations from people claiming to be able to fix your roof, quickly and cheaper than anyone else. Often these companies are based out of town and they move in following severe weather. Are there offers too good to be true? Here are a few reasons you may want to go with a local roofing company.

Local roofing companies are invested in their community. They aren’t going to leave and head to the next job without any way to reach them with questions or complaints. Local roofers know that their customer base comes from doing a good job in the community they live in.

Working with a local roofer allows you to see examples of their work and talk to previous customers. You can get recommendations and talk with someone who has worked with them before. This often isn’t possible with an out of town company.

Roofing companies that work locally will be around to do more work in the future. As repairs may be needed or even a new roof, they will be available. Working with a local company can also assist in filing the necessary documents with your insurance company and giving them a reputable organization to contact.

Phoenix Roofing has deep roots in its community with many happy customers available to speak to for references. We offer free roof inspections and will give you an honest assessment as to what work needs to be done and how long it will take. In good weather or bad Phoenix Roofing is the local company you can count on to be there.

Your Vision

Creating a Roof Vision Board

Building or remodeling a home is a huge undertaking and also a fun way to express your personal style. This can seem a little daunting but with some help from traditional and modern sources you can put together a cohesive look for your home that captures the style you want!

Pinterest is a great source of visual inspiration. You can create a board with pictures of rooftops and color options, shingles or metal roofs, and sort through it later to find what you really like.  Don’t forget the tried and true method of looking through home magazines and choosing what you really like!

Once you have some ideas, talk with your roofing company about the pros and cons of your options and what is available in your area. They can help you think through anything that might need to be considered such as homeowners association restrictions or material availability.

The team at Phoenix Roofing has years of experience and knows what roof materials and styles can offer your home aesthetic. Talk with Phoenix Roofing about your home roofing goals and get an idea of how to begin!
